Letter of Recommendation from DOUG STEWART (Current employer 2008-2011)
To Whom It May Concern:
Cathy
Masamitsu has been in my employ for three years, serving as Executive Assistant and production office manager for my company,
DMS Production Services. She is currently working with me on the 63rd Emmy Nominations Announcements (Associate Producer,
her 4th consecutive year), and has served on my production staff since 2008 on the Emmy Awards, the SAG and DGA Awards, as
well as the Academy Awards. I have never worked with anyone who is as professional, creative, intelligent, and intuitive
as Cathy. She has an incredible wealth of experience and skills, as evidenced by her impressive list of television credits.
From the start, Cathy quickly became absolutely indispensable, not only to me as a producer, but to the entire
production team.
Last year, my own health challenges required me to step down from producing
the (2010) Prime Time Emmy Nominations Announcements, and the first thing the show's new producer (Spike Jones, Jr.) did was
bring Cathy onboard. She proved invaluable, as always.
Cathy is great with people and is incredibly
loyal. She constantly watches out for me and has kept my corporate boat sailing on smooth waters when the rigors of
production required that I let go of the tiller from time to time. When it comes to honesty and integrity, I have found
no equal. Cathy has been responsible for many delicate professional and personal matters, and I trust her completely.
At
this time, I do not have a full-time position to offer Cathy with longevity and benefits, which is what she seeks and deserves.
You, however, have the opportunity to take your organization to the next level by hiring this remarkable employee. I
welcome any questions you may have regarding Cathy's skills and personality.
Most sincerely,
Douglass

Letter of Recommendation from WOODY FRASER (Cathy's employer 1981-2007)
"YOU
ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE YOU
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH." I
owe my success as a producer to this axiom.
Cathy Masamitsu
was a member of the production
staff for more than 60 television programs I produced from 1981 through 2007 (please refer to the credits page
of her resume).
I expect excellence from the people I employ, and Cathy's long tenure
with my company speaks for itself, attesting to her professionalism and
abilities. I know many producers
and executives have wanted to steal (or clone) Cathy - - and feel fortunate her
sense of loyalty kept Cathy in my employ for so many years.
After nearly
30 years in California, I recently moved my operation to New York as a consultant to Fox News. Cathy's family and church
obligations require that she
remain based in Los Angeles, resulting in a great dilemma for me: How will I find someone to replace
Cathy? I have found no one able to fill her shoes.
When Cathy
first joined my staff, I had 6
network and syndicated television shows in simultaneous production. It didn't take long for me to recognize
her natural capabilities as a multi-tasker. Cathy quickly met the challenges of keeping every detail
organized and up-to-date, and she flawlessly handled the multitude of
production needs related to each show's staff and schedule. With each new show, Cathy assumed
greater responsibilities and always mastered them.
Cathy has
computer and graphic design skills
which made her invaluable to my creative process. She writes well. Cathy's creative abilities have been an
asset to me in the preparation of my network and cable show sales presentations.
Work ethic
is Cathy's middle name - - she thinks
ahead, always gets the job done, and everyone enjoys working with her. Cathy always presents a positive face and
attitude when interfacing with all business contacts, whether they are
contemporaries, network executives or show talent.
Finally,
Cathy and I share a professional
understanding and fondness - - and I emphasize the word PROFESSIONAL - without
that element, no working relationship can sustain.
I wish
Cathy could relocate east and remain in
my employ. I
recommend her without hesitation or reservation, and have no doubt that Cathy's
professional path will continue to make her a valuable addition to every company
or individual with whom she works.
Sincerely, Woody Fraser Executive Producer WOODY FRASER PRODUCTIONS, INC. 718.419.3598 woody.fraser@foxnews.com
